Start with the basics You'll need: A sketchbook A pencil to sketch out the outer lines Some great paint, like our water-based allround paint. A few brushes in different sizes A piece of paper to use as pallet (our little red stone paper boxes actually make for perfect pallets if you're keen on upcycling) Getting started Why not start with learning to draw a bumble bee? Follow these 4 simple steps and you'll be going off-road in no-time. Try to set the shape Add texture Shape the wings Add legs, antennae and the final details Progress, not perfection! Why not try your hands on a comic book style bat now? Just follow these three easy steps: Try sketching the bat out by working with geometric shapes Once they resemble a bat, try softening the edges Now fill in the lines and edges that you'd like and add some colour and details Et voilá!
